Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA):
Dating 101: The Second, Third or Fourth Time Around by Deanna Frazier
(founder of The University of Dating) addresses the complexities of every
aspect associated with the difficult game of dating. Guiding her readers
through the entire process of being single and facing a potential date,
Dating 101 emphasizes that a date is merely a date, noting that many Americans
over forty-five are single, discusses the overwhelming presence of players
in modern day, shows how to get back into the dating game, teaches how
to make dating effective and fun, and provides an intelligent approach
to finding just the right person. A "must read" for single men
and women seeking to have a viable social life, Dating 101 is very strongly
recommended reading, especially for those who are dissatisfied with their
"single-hood status" and are losing out in the dating game.
J Webb (Memphis): After being
out of the dating game for so many years I am delighted I found this book.
I no longer have my "pity parties" on the couch and get out
more to meet people. Still haven't found someone, but am having fun trying.
Also, I saw her recently on The Today Show with Katie
Couric and was glad I did!
Rebecca Golden "Voracious Reader"
(Dallas, TX): My best friend has been single for six years.
We were not pleased with any other "advice" books we found.
The Diva has hit the target. Her insight and straight-shooting take is
priceless.
Dr. Fran Assaf (Dallas):
101 is light, but heartfelt. Is fairly deep but not preachy and absolutely
not judgmental. Dee hits the serious issues head-on, yet she doesn’t
spend too much time dwelling on them. It is enough information to really
think about but short enough so you don’t have to wade through heavy
concepts. I also liked the quotes heading each chapter. They set the stage
and your mindset and add food for thought.
Dee pulls no punches and doesn’t allow anyone any
excuses, just their choices. It is just they way she coaches. I felt that
Dee was talking to me through the whole book. The words come straight
from her heart and experiences. I felt like I was dancing with you throughout
the book.
I think if people read this book with an open mind, they will get great
benefits and if they act on Dee’s recommendations, it could change
their lives.
Dee’s action steps are very clear. Some parts were intimidating
because she hit my hot buttons, especially not trusting the opposite sex
and not feeling confident. There were also some humorous spots too from
my own experiences. The book is well written and I find her take on things
to be very realistic.
